Enjoy your iRad PRO on all your outdoor activities without worrying about damage from environmental elements. The iRad PRO includes an iPod Touch and a power radiation detector. The protective cover keeps your iRad PRO safe while hiking, camping, sailing, cycling or working outdoors. iRad PRO is waterproof to IPX-7 standards allowing your device to be submersed in water (up to one meter for thirty minutes) and shock resistant.
The unique case design allows you to interact with your device while it remains protected from the elements, including the touch screen, and hard buttons. You will find the home and sleep/wake buttons right where you expect them to be. Most importantly, the touch screen is responsive and 100% functional!
The iRad PRO comes equipped with a SiRFstarIII high sensitivity GPS chip set that enhances the accuracy of any location based and navigation app. The GPS accuracy of your iRad PRO is 3-5 meters (10-15 feet). The integrated GPS chip set leverages SBAS systems, such as WAAS, EGNOS, and MSAS to improve accuracy in North America, Europe, and parts of Asia.
The iRad PRO adds an 1840 mAh internal battery that automatically charges the included iPod Touch. Based on your normal use of the device, the iRad PRO's battery will double the life of the iPod Touch to 20 hours. We took the iRad platform to new levels by transforming it into a rugged handheld radiation detector with embedded battery and GPS receiver.
